Friends of the Fair Scholarship

Initiated in 1993, this scholarship is a collaborative effort of the Friends of the California State Fair, the California Exposition & State Fair and the California State Fair Agricultural Advisory Council.

Industrial & Technology Education

This competition is open to California students and their instructors, enrolled in or instructing an accredited vocational program in grades 7 through community college. Area of competition include: drafting, graphic arts, media, electronics, fabrication and woodworking. Winning entries are exhibited during the California State Fair.

Youth Art & Design Expo

This competition is open to all California youth, 5-18 years of ages. Areas of competition include fine art, crafts & hobbies, fashion & textiles, and media. Winning entries are exhibited during the California State Fair.

Youth Task Force
Deadline Friday, March 15 2013
The Youth Task Force gives local teens the opportunity to participate in preparations for the California State Fair while gaining valuable experience and job skills. Task Force members will learn how to organize events, complete tasks, and work as a team. Members may use volunteered hours towards high school graduation requirements, and the experience should be listed on resumes and scholarship applications. Letters of recommendation are available upon request.
