The California State Fair is proud to announce that the winners of the 2009 Kids Talent Show are a talented brother duo called MUVZ!
Brothers Ahlamalik & Ahlijah Williams bested 13 other contestants from all over Northern California to claim the title of the 2009 State Fair’s Most Talented Kids! They also received a $250 cash prize and the chance to be Kings for a Day at the State Fair and to Grand Marshal the nightly parade. The sibling team, ages 15 and 9, won over the judges with an impressive dance performance to a medley of Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean” and “Smooth Criminal.”
The runners-up included 12-year old Mackensi Emory of Auburn with an Extreme Sport Karate demonstration and 11-year old Grace Stanley from Antelope who sang “The Wizard and I” from the Broadway musical “Wicked.”
Last year’s winner, Jeremiah Pearson, has participated in the Hollywood Launch Program Showcase and performed at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip and at Universal City Walk. He played the role of Little Michael Jackson in the production of Soul Sistah and of young Joe in the stage reading of Lost Lady with a Violin. Jeremiah has also performed at charity events in Los Angeles and in the Bay Area. Most recently, he auditioned for the role of Young Michael Jackson in the Thriller Live National & World Tour.
