The State Fair Gala is an annual black-tie fundraiser event that officially kicks of the State Fair season and benefits the Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship program.  This prestigious event each year honors the Agriculturist of the Year, The Golden Bear Award Recipient, and the Agricultural Progress Award Recipient. The top scholarship award recipient is also recognized at the event.
