 Volunteer
If you'd like to volunteer your time with an organization that touches millions
of people each year, then the State Fair is the organization for you. We have a
number of unique and rewarding opportunities for people of all ages,
backgrounds and skills to volunteer their time in a fun, fast-paced and
friendly environment. You can lend a hand as a member of the official State
Fair volunteer organization, the Friends of the California State Fair, or you
can apply to be a member of one of our community or youth taskforces. Whatever
you decide, we can guarantee your hard work and dedication will not go
unnoticed.
Step Up
The State Fair is once again partnering with community leaders to reach out to
area youth with the year-round program called STEP UP, which encourages youth
to be positive, be active, and be informed.
The STEP UP DANCE CREW, will be out in force promoting the
message of positive perspectives and positive behavior, including many
appearances throughout the Greater Sacramento area this summer and every day at
the 2007 California State Fair.
STEP UP EVENTS for youth this summer include a TALENT
SHOW with a "Pop Star" Prize Package for the winner; and an AWARDS
program for youth who have demonstrated a positive change in their lives, with
cash prizes of $500, $300, and $200. Any interested participants should
