  • The California State Fair Gala is an elegant evening of gourmet food, auctions, entertainment and awards. It is also a night for making dreams come true. Each year, the Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program helps California’s most promising students achieve their goals and realize their dreams. Scholarships ranging from $250 to $5,000 are awarded to college students and graduating high school seniors who exhibit academic excellence, leadership potential, civic accomplishments and a strong sense of personal commitment to continuing education. This year the Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program will proudly award over $33,000 in scholarships to deserving California youth.

  • Celebrating it’s 160th anniversary this summer, California State Fair is excited to announce a free concert every night during the State Fair, July 12-28. The Toyota Concert Series offers a variety of artists including rhythm & blues, country, classic rock, Top 40 pop, Christian rock, tribute bands and a popular teen artist. All 17 nights of concerts during the State Fair are FREE with Fair admission and will be held on the Golden1 Stage at 8pm. Concert seating is available on a first come first served basis.

  • The 13th annual Dachshund Derby will be held on Sunday, July 14 in the Miller Lite Grandstand.  A fan favorite event featuring 64 Dachshunds in 8 elimination races and a final offering $500 in purse money to the top three finishers.

  • The State Fair salutes current heroes and veterans in all branches of the Armed Forces, as well as law enforcment and first responders. FREE fair admission for individuals in or out of uniform with proper identification. Not applicable to family members and guests.

  • Enjoy the State Finals Demolition Derby
    Two huge days of full metal contact competition featuring both small and big cars. Demolition derbies are about 50% skill and 50% luck! The winning drivers need a little of each. Join the fun, join the action at the 2013 State Fair’s Demolition Derby State Finals! This year offers over $10,000.00 in prize money. Interested contenders can go to WGASmotorsports.com for rule and entry information. Advance entry fee is only $10.00 for the State Finals!

All guests to the Brewer’s Festival will receive a souvenir mug. $5 Designated Driver tickets available at the door. Tickets to Brewer’s Festival do not include State Fair admission.
